Below you will find answers to many common questions about Dear Old Union Day.

Who can participate? 

Everyone! Support from alumni, families, students, faculty, staff and friends will be the key to success during Dear Old Union Day on May 15, 2024.

What should I do if I receive an "Error Processing Payment" message or any other error message during payment?

If you receive one of these messages, please call 606-546-1277. Our site may take a moment to process credit cards and may occasionally experience high traffic. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Can I make a gift by mail or phone?

Absolutely! Donations sent by mail can be counted towards the Dear Old Union Day total. If you choose to mail your gift, please call our office at 606-546-1277 to inform us, allowing us to include it in the offline total.

 

Additionally, if you prefer to make a donation over the phone during online giving day, you can reach us at 606-546-1277 and we will gladly assist you in processing your donation.

Who will receive my contact information?

Union College will have access to your name and email address for receipting, to send thank you messages, provide the option to receive future notifications, and notify you of future activities.

Is my payment secure?

Yes! All payments will be processed using a secure online giving form. The information collected during Dear Old Union Day will be used only by Union College Office of Advancement.

Where is the fund I want to support?

If you typically donate to a specific fund, scholarship, or program and cannot locate it, please choose "Additional Areas of Support" in the "Area of Support" section. Then, under Fund Designation, select "Other" to manually input the scholarship, endowment, or area you wish to support.

Will my gift be eligible for tax deduction?

Yes. Union College is a non-profit, tax exempt, 501(c)(3), organization. All donations are tax deductible. A receipt for your gift will be emailed for your records. Should you need a duplicate receipt, please contact the Advancement Office at 606-546-1277.

Is there a minimum donation amount?

Yes, there is a $5 minimum.

How do I give to more than one area?

On the donation form, there is an option to click “+Add another gift to your donation” underneath the giving amounts listed on the form. Once clicked, you will choose your next area in the dropdown menu and add the amount you’d like to give to the new fund.

Who should I contact if I have a question about my gift?

For general questions about your gift, please call 606-546-1277.

How do I become an ambassador?

Click on the "Ambassador" portal on the top right of the homepage. Follow the registration prompts and help us spread the word about Cleveland State's 11th annual Giving Day. As an Ambassador, you will be entered to win exclusive prizes for those who bring in the most donors and dollars raised during the event.  

Who is RNL Scalefunder?

RNL ScaleFunder is a fundraising platform that helps institutions like Union College raise money, engage donors and manage volunteers for online events celebrating the power of philanthropy.
